90% of SBF 120 boards have a sustainability committee in 2026
Nine out of ten SBF 120 boards now have a sustainability committee. Yet the IFA-Ethics & Boards barometer points to a threshold effect: the spread of these committees is coming to an end, and the question of their real effectiveness is becoming central.
Le 10e baromètre IFA-Ethics & Boards, publié en septembre 2026, met en garde : avoir un tel dispositif ne suffit pas à garantir son efficacité. Entre 2020 et 2023, trente conseils du SBF 120 ont adopté un comité durable, mais depuis, seuls cinq autres ont suivi.
Selon Denis Terrien, président de l’IFA, et Floriane de Saint Pierre, présidente d’Ethics & Boards, « ce palier n’est pas un essoufflement, c’est le terme d’une diffusion : quand un dispositif équipe neuf conseils sur dix, la question n’est plus son existence, mais ce qu’il produit. »
« La décennie qui s’ouvre se jugera moins à ce que les conseils ont mis en place qu’à la manière dont ils s’en saisissent », avertissent les auteurs du baromètre.
