Solutions

Software written by people who sit in the boardroom

Four tools, each born of something our own advisors and analysts needed: a board evaluation platform, Mandate Search for the director looking at mandates, Talent Place for the organisation looking for people, and Data collection for those who collect and validate governance data themselves. None of them is a survey tool with governance vocabulary bolted on.

Mandate Search · for the director

The mandates that come free are knowable in advance

Board seats are still filled through informal networks, and the opportunity is usually handled before it is officially open. But mandate end dates are disclosed — so are board composition, committee structure, meeting frequency and director remuneration. Mandate Search turns that public record into a single query, the one our own analysts run when a client asks which mandates fall vacant, and when. Set the horizon by the year terms end; narrow the company by index, sector and location; narrow the mandate by independence, committee, gender and tenure; then open the board behind it. It answers a person's question, not an organisation's: I sit on boards, or I want to, and I need to know where the openings will be.

Sitting director

Anticipate how your boards will change

Know which mandates come to term on the boards you sit on, and how their composition is set to evolve.

Prospective director

Prepare a first mandate

Identify the boards whose composition is about to change and prepare a well-founded approach, based on public and verifiable information.

Experienced director

Broaden your portfolio of mandates

Find, in the sectors and committees where your experience counts, the mandates likely to become available.

Behind the mandate

Pick one mandate and the whole board opens

Not a name and a date — the board you would be joining, and the people already sitting in it.

Talent Place · for the organisation

Widen the talent search

Built on our data — more than 100,000 director and executive profiles — Talent Place answers an organisation's question: who could hold this role.

Company

Preparing a key appointment

A director or executive role to fill, a succession to plan ahead: the search starts from a defined need, not from a published vacancy.

Investor

Strengthening portfolio boards

An investment firm or portfolio manager reviewing the boards of the companies it holds and identifying the profiles they lack.

Development finance institution

Supporting a transaction

Governance conditions attached to a transaction: identifying directors able to carry them within the company being financed.

Data collection

Collect your own governance data, every figure with its source

Some organisations are not looking to buy governance data: they need to collect their own and be able to justify every item. Data collection gives them a dedicated space: published documents are read automatically, each value is proposed with the passage that supports it, and your teams validate or reject it before it is recorded. The data belongs to you, with a record of every validation.

Market authority

Following issuers' governance

Issuers enter their own governance data; each item is verified before it joins your reference framework.

State ownership agency

Overseeing a public portfolio

Portfolio companies report their practices, and you track the gaps against your own ownership policy.

Investor

Documenting your own analysis

Collect and validate the data your teams need yourself, with the source of every figure kept alongside it.
